JV, Var: @Alamance (C) JV/V

JV 5:30pm

V 6:30pm

  • Each player will be allowed to bring one spectator (up to 12 total per team).
  • All players, coaches, game officials, essential personnel, and spectators will check in at the entrance to the building and will sign in on our attendance sheet.
  • Anyone working the game will be considered essential personnel and will not count as the one spectator for their player. (Score book, Libero Tracker, Line Judge, Coaches, Statistician, Video Person)
  • Temperatures will be checked at the door during sign in.
  • Spectators will be required to bring their own chair and place it at least 6 feet away from others along the outside of the gym. Away side of the gym will be on the left when you enter the gym.  Home side will be on the right.. No bleachers will be used this season. Spectators are asked to stay in their chairs for the duration of the game unless there is an emergency.
  • Restrooms will be limited to 2 people at a time inside.
  • One way in and one way out. Everyone will enter through the double doors under the drive up overhang.  Everyone will exit through the gym door we normally use at the corner of the building (which will be kept locked from the outside). No one may enter for the second scheduled game until everyone has left after the first game ends.
  • Masks will be required for EVERYONE. Spectators, game day workers, coaches and players. Players are not required to play in masks. Everyone on the bench will wear masks when they are not on the court.
  • Benches will not switch sides between sets. We will stay on the home side the entire game.
  • No physical contact between players, such as handshakes or high fives. Players must keep as much distance between them as possible, at all times.
  • Each team must bring their own balls for warm-ups.
  • Each team must use their own flag for line judging.
  • Game ball will be sanitized between sets. We plan to have 2 scoring tables at our home games to be able to distance the workers- one for home and one for away workers.
  • Score flipper will also sit away from others.
  • Benches will have more space between chairs for players off the court.
  • Players must bring LARGE water bottles, because there will be no refills at water fountains.
  • We will not have concessions this season
  • At the end of the match both teams may line up on their side of the net and socially distanced to at least 6ft to wave or clap for each other to show sportsmanship.

Mission Statement

The purpose of the Greater Cabarrus Athletic Association (GCAA) is to provide the home schooled student athletic opportunities within an environment that is both Christian and competitive. We desire to nurture the character of the young men and women entrusted to our program that will allow them to be successful in all future endeavors.

Greater Cabarrus Athletic Association is a non-profit, 501(C)3 organization that relies entirely on the membership of each family and the donations of gracious people outside the GCAA family. GCAA is a member of the larger North Carolina Home Educators Athletic Conference(NCHEAC) and Mid-State Athletic Conference.
