Stallions Basketball exists to provide homeschoolers in Cabarrus and surrounding counties the opportunity to play competitive basketball.  Coaches promote actions and attitudes that honor God.  On the court, fundamental soundness, teamwork, and hustle are emphasized.  Our teams on the middle school, junior varsity, and varsity levels, are consistently in the running for the NCHE State Championship. Our Home games are played at Central Baptist Church Family Center located at 1810 Moose Road, Kannapolis, NC 28083.  We are blessed by the kindness and generosity shown to us by the people of Central Baptist Church.

The Greater Cabarrus Athletic Association (GCAA) is a homeschool Christian athletic organization designed to provide the families in and around the Cabarrus County, North Carolina and surrounding areas the opportunity to play on a competitive sports teams. The goal of our program and all activities that we do is to promote and provide a Christian environment for spiritual and character growth that honors and glorifies the Lord Jesus Christ through competitive athletics.

My wife Sherri, and I have been blessed to be a part of the Stallions program for 11 years.  We have had four children come through our basketball program with our two daughters going on to play collegiate basketball.  I coached our varsity boys team one year and have been involved on the board on and off for 5 years. My wife Sherri, has been coaching girls teams all 11 years.  Our youngest son, Luke, will be playing on the varsity boys team this coming season.  I have enjoyed seeing how our program has progressed over the years to what it is now. I look forward to renewing friendships while creating new friendships.  My goal is to see our program honor Christ on and off the court with competitive, successful teams, and the greatest fans supporting them.  Looking forward to serving you all on the board.

My family has been part of the Stallions for the past 8 years with two sons playing from Middle School through to Varsity. Playing ball with the Stallions has provided a sense of camaraderie and belonging that we would not have had otherwise. Being asked to serve on the board was an honor. I think maybe I wasn’t ready to say good-bye, so here I am – working to continue the advancement of homeschooling sports.

My family and I have been in the Stallions programs for many years. My oldest daughter played volleyball, my son has played both soccer and basketball, and my youngest daughter now plays volleyball.  I have had the privilege of serving in several different positions: GCAA board member, volleyball board member, volleyball coach, middle school basketball coach, and now the basketball board.

My husband, Eddie, and I first became involved with Stallions Basketball during the 2006-2007 season when he coached Middle School Boys.  He has coached many years since and is currently Head Coach for Varsity Boys.  This Stallions’ program and its families have been such a blessing to us.  As a member of the Board, I look forward to working with our Board and families to make our basketball program the very best it can be.
