Basketball Homepage

Hello everyone!

Stallions Basketball is for students who are schooled at home (and registered as such with the state of North Carolina).  We compete against other homeschool programs, private schools, and public schools.  We are in the NCHEAC (North Carolina Home Educators Athletic Conference), where we compete for a state championship against roughly 12 other programs across the state.  We have been one of the top homeschool basketball programs in the state over the last several years.

Here are some details from our Basketball Board for the upcoming season:

  • Coaches will be in touch to let you know when practices will begin. Basketball Tryouts/Practice begins on Monday, October 24th.  Our home gym is at Central Baptist Church, 1810 Moose Road, Kannapolis, NC 28083.

  • Forms needed for registration are on the GCAA website (www.GCAAStallions.com --> RESOURCES Information --> Documents & Downloads -->  GCAA -->  Player/Parent Registration, Sports Physical Form, Medical Consent/Liability, Non-Recruit/Transfer, Jr/Sr Declaration)

  • Additional forms required: BIRTH CERTIFICATE

  • Forms and registration fees are due in full Monday, October 31st. Keep in mind uniforms will be handed out on 10/31 only to players who have all of their forms turned in and their registration is paid in full – no exceptions unless prior arrangements have been made. As of this year, this rule will be upheld and respected. Registration fees are non-refundable once paid.

  • $295 (V & JV) $250 (MSB) $195 (MSG) $100 (EB) with a $50 multiple child discount.

  • Family members living in the same house as the player will NOT be charged admission for HOME games.

  • Family members living outside of the players’ home may purchase a season pass/band for $20 for home games. Grandparents may purchase one for $15.

  • First fundraiser – YETI COOLER – *Information provided in a separate email.

  • Sponsorships – *Information provided in a separate email.

  • Board / Committee Member positions still need to be filled. There are many jobs that need to be done in order for us to run a smooth and successful season. Looking at the big picture feels overwhelming, but if we’re able to get many people to do a small part, it’ll all get done and not be too much for anyone person. PLEASE consider how you can best help and indicate your area of interest. -*Information provided in a separate email.

  • Schedule has been uploaded onto the website. Please keep in mind that the schedule is set but expect that there will be changes. It’s impossible to know what changes may happen. We will do our best to convey changes as soon as we know about them. I know last minute changes are frustrating! Again, we will do our best to convey any/all updates ASAP. (www.GCAAStallions.com --> NEWS/EVENTS What’s Happening --> Events Calendar --> Basketball (at the bottom) *8:00am game time means times have not been determined.)

  • Volunteer sign-up - Please sign up to help when/where you can. We are all volunteers with lives that go beyond basketball. Everyone is busy. But we can’t run this program without everyone pitching in. Please be mindful that everyone needs to help. We will be using an online website for signing up. The sooner you go out and sign-up the better your chances are of getting the time slots you want. THANK YOU VERY MUCH, ahead of time, for committing to help. -*Information provided in a separate email.

  • If your child is playing another sport that will still be going on after basketball practice has started, please let your coach know. Your child will not be penalized for not being able to make basketball practice due to another sport commitment.
